DEFEATER

Boson hardcore band and one of the best and most representative bands of the modern hardcore scene. They've got three releases so far: "Travels" and "Lost Ground EP" and the latest release "Empty Days And Sleepless Nights". The reason why they stand out from other bands is their immense honesty about what they do, lyrical and musical uniqueness, awesome stage performances and the fact that every single album so far is a so called "storyteller". You have all of their releases here, but a more gripping and more extensive review shall be written for every album.

Single State Of Man

http://www.mediafire.com/?hwmljmmmzhmvzuz

These little gems come all the way from Germany. They combine mesmerizing post-rock with screamo singing. They've been compared with post-rock pioneers "Explosions In The Sky", but SSoM has a few distinctive differences that keeps them much higher in my book. They don't have songs that last for 15 minutes (I do understand that sometimes it is needed to "break the line" so to speak and have a fucking long song, but if a band continually forces it, it becomes boring and unimaginative). So in that matter SSoM have developed their music. By putting screamo parts unexpectedly that blend in amazingly perfect with post-rock tunes they achieve one thing that lacks a lot of post rock bands-DYNAMICS and NOT BORING THE PERSON WHO LISTENS TO DEATH. For band members and shit, google it.

FEWDIO Horrors

Fewdio Horror is a group of people who have obviously been in the movie business for a long time, got bored with making long feature movies, and started making short ones-mostly horror, for their own satisfaction. The are the proof that for an awesome two minute movie, ALL YOU NEED are a camera, A BRILLIANT IDEA, suckers who are going to act (and hopefully know how to do it) and voila-when you're done just post it on the internet and RISE ON THE THRONE OF INTERNET FAME!!!! But seriously, these guys are fucking brilliant, and they know what they're doing too. On their official website (http://www.fewdio.com/) you can look up info about every single person involved with FEWDIO and most of them are educated directors. But that doesn't mean that YOU can't do the same or similar thing if you've got an awesome idea and a camera! Get out there and film shit :D They've also got a youtube chanel (that actually how I found out about them) and you can see all of their achievements there: http://www.youtube.com/user/Fewdiodotcom.
For first viewing I would recommend "Bedfellows" (embed video below).

Dangers-Messy Isn't it (2010)

The new album "Messy Isn't It" from Dangers of California, brings us some changes when compared to the previous "Anger" release. The new album brings us a new sound, more chaotic and a lot heavier than before but that's exactly what makes it interesting to listen. Comparisons with other bands are unnecessary and impossible, because Dangers so not seek for originality-they just are. The lyrics are direct, sarcastic, intelligent and mixed with "in your face music" guarantee an enjoyable afternoon with Dangers in your player. Emotions that each song carries are breathtaking merely because they are ruthlessly honest. Honesty is a valuable and a rare virtue that many people lack, and honesty is exactly what this album is. I dare to say that "Messy Isn't It" is one of the best hardcore albums I've ever heard in my entire life.

BURNING LOVE - Songs For Burning Lovers

Burning Love, wow.... That's a pretty good reaction to their first feature length album. After a mind blowing demo from 2009 and and an EP release in 2010 titled "Don't Ever Change", the deliver us "Songs For Burning Lovers". Burning Love, a stoner punk band from cold and far away Canada, delivers us 13 new songs that are heavily influenced by their previous band "Cursed" and another band that plays similar music that is pretty hard to label and call a certain genre, because of the heavy mixture of a number of different music styles, "Hot Snakes". The album is very raw in production which gives a certain unique style to the band, a lot of repetitive stoner riffs and of course captivating lyrics. A sincere and a warm recommendation!
